Eden Acres training exists to help you succeed in your small chicken farm experience. Our curriculum centers around broiler (meat) and layer chicken (egg) production.

Your first thought about raising chickens might be one of hesitation from your past experience; the labor required, messy floor and feeding every day. Raising a flock can be a lot of work.  But with industry tested guidelines and proper chicken house setup you can be on your way to raising healthy, natural chickens all year round. 

Our training modules provide a simple, hands-on approach that lays a foundation for raising year-round chicken eggs and meat. We discuss important topics such as chicken house construction, ventilation, automatic watering/feeding systems, biosecurity, temperature and nutrition. We provide training for a range of situations; from the hobby farmer with a small flock to a more substantial chicken production operation for a meat and egg source (up to 350 chickens).

At Eden Acres we have an active farm of broiler and layer chickens. We practice what we teach every day. Our small farm facility in Arlington, Washington has one 350-bird capacity broiler house and one 350 -bird capacity layer house in operation year-round. Feed Benefit: A unique option in working with Eden Acres is the connection we have regarding our in-house feed production. Not only do we train about chicken growth and development, but we also formulate and produce our own brand of feeds necessary for every stage of a chicken's life cycle. That is a unique combination that works well together for building a solid poultry community.
